Recipe Ingredients for Sicilian Lentil Soup

16 oz Lentils, Mature Seeds
16 oz No Salt Added Tomatoes Sauce
1 serving Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 cup chopped raw Vidalia Onion
1 tablespoon Oregano
2 tsp Minced Garlic
14 oz Petite Cut Diced Tomatoes
4 cup Vegetable Broth
8 cup (8 fl oz) Water

Recipe Directions for Sicilian Lentil Soup

  1. soak lentils for one hour

  2. dice onion

  3. saute onion and garlic in oil with oregano

  4. add tomato sauce and diced tomatoes broth and water boil or several minutes

  5. add lentils and cook over medium heat for 1 hour

  6. season with salt and pepper.
