Recipe Ingredients for Shu Cream with Healthy Ingredients

3 tbs smart balance butter
2 tsp splenda, granulated
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1 1/2 medium eggs
2 tbs whole wheat flour
1/3 cup splenda, granulated
1 cup skim milk
2 egg yolks
1 tbsp smart balance melted butter

Recipe Directions for Shu Cream with Healthy Ingredients

  1. Preheat your oven to 375

  2. Then beat the eggs in a bowl.

  3. In a pan put butter, sugar, and water and bring it to a boil.

  4. Take the flour and add it into the butter mixture and stir quickly.

  5. Turn the stove off.

  6. Follow by slowly adding the eggs into mixture and mix well.

  7. Place the dough in a plastic bag allowing yourself to squeeze out small mounds.

  8. Make about 8 to 9 mounds of dough and place them on an oven pan coated with some sort of non-stick spray such as PAM.

  9. Bake for 30 minutes.

  10. Allow the puffs to cool then cut them in halves horizontally.

  11. For the custard filling do the following:

  12. Mix the egg yolks and 1/3 c sugar into a pan.

  13. Sift the two tablespoons of flour in the pan and mix well.

  14. Make the milk warm and gradually add it into the pan.

  15. Place the pan on low heat and stir the mixture constantly until thickened.

  16. Turn off the heat and add the remaining melted better and stir well.

  17. Allow the custard cream to cool.

  18. Fill only the bottom part of the puffs with custard cream then place the other halve of top.
