Recipe Ingredients for Shrimp & Spinach Soup

1 cup onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon allspice, ground
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
4 cups water
9 ounces spinach
24 shrimp, peeled
1 tablespoon lime juice
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 teaspoon dried ginger

Recipe Directions for Shrimp & Spinach Soup

  1. In a non-stick pan saute onion over medium high heat for 2 minutes.

  2. Add garlic and saute for 1 minute

  3. Add shrimp and lime juice, saute until pink.

  4. Add spinach until just wilted.

  5. Add remaining ingredients, bring to a boil.

  6. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
