Recipe Ingredients for Shrimp and Spaghetti

2 oz Dreamfields Spaghetti
1 tsp smart balance butter
2 tsp olive oil
2 garlic cloves, minced
3 oz large shrimp (4 shrimp) peeled and deveined
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp ground black pepper
1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (or cilantro)
1/8 Lemon
1 tbsp fresh squeezed lemon juice (1/2 lemon)
1 dash hot red pepper flakes

Recipe Directions for Shrimp and Spaghetti

  1. Prepare spaghetti according to package directions.

  2. Meanwhile, in another large, heavy bottomed pan, melt the butter and olive oil over medium-low heat. Add the garlic. Saute for 1 minute. Add the shrimp, salt, and pepper; saute until the shrimp have just turned pink (about 5 minutes) stirring often. Remove from the heat; add the parsley, lemon zest, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes.

  3. When the pasta is done, drain the cooked spaghetti and put back in the pot. Immediately add the shrimp and sauce, toss well, and serve.
