Recipe Ingredients for Shrimp and Radiatore

19 shrimp Shrimp Cooked
0.5 cup Chicken Broth
56 7/10 grams Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 medium (4-1/8" long) Onions, Spring Or Scallions
5 clove Garlic
0.75 cup (8 fl oz) Water
0.25 cup Lemon Juice, Canned Or Bottled
16 oz Rotini
3 serving Table Salt
10 dash Pepper, Black
1/4 cup leaves, whole Basil, Fresh

Recipe Directions for Shrimp and Radiatore

  1. Bring large stock pot of salted water to a boil.

  2. peel and slice garlic. toast in heated olive oil over med/high heat until golden brown. remove from oil and drain on a paper towel.

  3. Add chopped scallion bulb and thawed, drained shrimp to flavored oil. Sautee until heated through and scallion bulb transluscent.

  4. add chopped tomatoes and scallion top. Heat until tomato begins to become soft, add basil and sautee until sauce becomes fragrant.

  5. Add uncooked pasta to boiling water.

  6. Add chicken broth and lemon juice to sauce, bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer.

  7. Before draining pasta, add a ladel-full of the pasta water into the sauce- more if necessary- and allow to thicken, stirring occasionally.

  8. Drain and rinse pasta when al dente, add to sauce and toss.

  9. Add salt a pepper to taste.

  10. * Red pepper adds a little color and kick, but can be omitted for younger palettes.
