Recipe Ingredients for Shrimp Marinara with Whole Wheat Pasta

1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup green pepper
1 pound shrimp
2 cloves garlic
14 1/2 oz diced tomatoes with juice
6 oz tomato paste

Recipe Directions for Shrimp Marinara with Whole Wheat Pasta

  1. Heat oil. Cook onion, green pepper and garlic until tender.

  2. Add chopped tomatoes with liquid, tomato paste and seasonings.

  3. Cover and simmer 15 minutes.

  4. Stir occasionaly.

  5. Add shrimp and simmer 3-5 minutes.

  6. Serve over whole wheat pasta.
