Excellent marinade for grilled shrimp

Recipe Ingredients for Shrimp marinade or Pasta Sauce

3 cloves garlic
1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/4 cup ketchup or tomato sauce
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Recipe Directions for Shrimp marinade or Pasta Sauce

  1. Place all ingredients in a plastic bag and invert to mix.

  2. Add 1 to 2 pounds fresh or thawed shrimp.

  3. Mix to coat.

  4. Refrigerate for at least one hour.

  5. Grill shrimp at 350 degrees for 2-3 minutes per side.

  6. Alternately, make a double batch, whip in blender, heat and serve over angel hair pasta.
