Named after my mother "Anna" this is a receipt for peeled Shrimp in a Creole sauce to be served over cooked rice.

Recipe Ingredients for Shrimp Louisi-Anna

16 oz Simple-Peel Shrimp
3 tbsp Butter
1 slices COOKED Center Cut Bacon
1.5 oz Wheat Flour, White, All-purpose, Enriched, Bleached
1 tsp Salt, Table
1 tsp Chili Powder
2 cup 1% Low Fat Milk
2 tbsp Parsley, Dried
4 tbsp Ketchup
14.3 grams Flakes Minced Onion

Recipe Directions for Shrimp Louisi-Anna

  1. In first pan: cut up or break shrimp into pieces (fresh, frozen, or canned) and brown in butter in a separate pan with bacon and onion. Turn off heat.

  2. In second pan: Combine flour, salt, chili powder and milk. Cook on low five minutes (do not burn milk). Add catsup and parsley and then go to next step below.

  3. In second pan: Add shrimp, bacon and onion to Creole sauce, cover and allow to steam for several more minutes.
