300 g Large Shrimp, raw
3 cup Rice, White, Medium-grain, Cooked
4 g,
3 cup (8 fl oz) Water
148 g, sliced Onions
3 1tsp Olive Oil
14 oz Tomatoes Whole No Salt Added
128 , chopped Peppers, Sweet, Red
1/4 cup Rice Flour, Brown
0.17 tsp, Pepper, Red Or Cayenne
50 g, sliced Onions
0.13 cup tsp
175 g g, diced Celery

Recipe Directions for Shrimp Jambalaya = 2374 g total

  1. Heat oil and flour, cooking slowly and stirring constantly until golden brown.

  2. Add onions,celery, bell pepper and garlic.

  3. Cook slowly until transparent, stirring often, then add stewed tomatoes and tomato sauce and let cook until oil rises to the top.

  4. Stir in raw rice, raw shrimp and 3 cups water.

  5. Cook covered over very low heat until rice is tender about 20 or 30 minutes.

  6. Add more oil or water if mixture appears to be too dry.

  7. At the very end when cooked stir in parsley and onion tops.
