Recipe Ingredients for Shrimp creole

1 cup white rice
2 cups water
1/2 tbls butter
1/2 cup diced yellow onion
3/4 cup diced green pepper
1/4 cup diced celery
16 oz tomato puree
1 lb cooked shrimp
2 tbls olive oil
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp garlic powder

Recipe Directions for Shrimp creole

  1. Place rice,water and butter in rice cooker and cook to directions specified by the packaging.

  2. Pour the oilve oil into a large shallow saute pan and heat on medium. Add the peppers, celery and onions to the pan and saute until onions are translucent. Add the garlic powder, red pepper flakes and pepper and stir. Add tomato puree and shrimp, stir until shrimp are completely heated through. Serve over white rice.
