A lower sodium alernative to traditional dry mix seafood boils using concentrated Zatarain's liquid boil and chili sauce. Subsitute cayanne pepper for chili sauce but only 1/2 the amount for an 8% sodium recipe. Total yield 2 1/2 gallons.

Recipe Ingredients for Shrimp & Crawfish Boil Using Chili Sauce (Low Sodium - Robert)

2 gallons water
9/10 tsp season salt (1/4 tsp of Tony Chachere?s Lite Creole Seasoning)
2 tbsp water (Zatarain?s Liquid Shrimp & Crab Boil)
12 oz Italian Dressing (1 1/2 cup)
18 oz frozen orange juice
3 tbsp no salt butter
9 tbsp chili sauce ( 1/2 cup + 1 tbsp)
6 cloves garlic
1 medium onion

Recipe Directions for Shrimp & Crawfish Boil Using Chili Sauce (Low Sodium - Robert)

Bring all ingredients to a roling boil, add 25-30 lbs crawfish, shrimp, crabs, sweet corn on the cob and or potatoes.
