Shredded Beef for Burritos or Tacos

Recipe Ingredients for Shredded Mexican-style Beef

42 oz Chuck Tender Roast
452 4/5 grams Petite Cut Diced Tomatoes
1 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions
5 cloves, raw Garlic
1 tablespoon Oregano
1 tbsp Ground Cumin

Recipe Directions for Shredded Mexican-style Beef

  1. In a slow cooker combine tomatoes, the onion quartered, garlic cloves, and spices.

  2. In a hot skillet sear the chuck roast.

  3. Deglaze the pan with a little water and add to slow cooker.

  4. Put the roast in the slow cooker and cook on high for 5-6 hours ontil it is fork tender.

  5. Remove roast, seperate fat, and shred the beef.

  6. Using a hand blender, blend the tomato/spice mixture until smooth.

  7. Put shredded beef back into sauce, heat through, and serve
