Shredded Broccoli with Indian Spices (about 1 cup per serving)

Recipe Ingredients for Shredded Broccoli with Indian Spices

1 tablespoon olive oil
1 medium onion, chopped
1 tsp. cumin seeds
1/4 tsp. turmeric
1 pinch of cayenne pepper
4 cups broccoli
1 tsp lemon juice
1 dash of salt
1 dash of pepper

Recipe Directions for Shredded Broccoli with Indian Spices

  1. In a wok, heat oil. Add onion and sauté until soft, about 4 minutes. Add cumin seeds, turmeric and cayenne pepper and cook until spices are fragrant, about 1 minute.

  2. Stir in shredded broccoli, lemon juice and 3 Table. water. Reduce heat to low, cover the wok and simmer gently until vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes. Add water as needed to prevent burning.

  3. Season to taste
