Recipe Ingredients for Shredded BBQ Chicken

1 1/2 pounds skinless, boneless chicken thighs
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 cup ketchup
1/4 cup dark brown sugar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
1 tablespoon yellow mustard
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt

Recipe Directions for Shredded BBQ Chicken

  1. Brown chicken 4 min on each side in 1 tablespoon hot oil in a large skillet over med-high heat. Remove from heat and place in a slow cooker.

  2. Combine ketchup and next 6 ingredients. Pour over chicken.

  3. Cover and cook on high for 1 hour. Reduce heat to low and cook 5 to 6 hours. Remove chicken from sauce; shred chicken. Stir shredded chicken into sauce. Spoon mixature evenly onto buns and top with pickle slices.
