Biscuits for desert or leave out sugar for regular biscuits Add cheese and herbs for a savory biscuit

Recipe Ingredients for Shortcake Biscuits

2 cups flour
1/3 cup Sugars, Granulated
3 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup milk 2%

Recipe Directions for Shortcake Biscuits

  1. Combine first four ingredients and stir then cut shortening in with pastry blender. Add milk, stir until moistened. Turn onto floured and roll out to about 11/2 thick and cut into squares or rounds

  2. Bake at 400 for about 15-20 minutes
