A fluffy biscuit to make classic shortcake

Recipe Ingredients for Shortcake biscuit

1 3/4 cup flour
1 tbs sugar
1 tsp salt
3 tsp baking powder
6 tbs butter, chilled
3/4 cup milk

Recipe Directions for Shortcake biscuit

Cut solid shortening into dry ingredients. Make a well in the center and then add all the milk at once. Stir until dough is free from side of bowl. Turn onto floured board and knead (fold 8 to 10 times) Roll to desired thickness the cut with cooking cutter into rounds. Bake in preheated 450 degree oven 13 minutes
