Makes two, can be sprinkled with colored sugar.

Recipe Ingredients for Shortbread Wreaths

1 cup flour
1/2 cup cornstarch
1/2 cup powdered sugar
3/4 cup butter

Recipe Directions for Shortbread Wreaths

  1. Combine flour, corn starch, and sugar. Blend in butter with a wooden spoon until dough is smooth. Form into two balls. Chill for 30 minutes.

  2. On a floured surface, roll one ball into a 9" circle. Transfer to a greased baking sheet. Cut out center with small round cookie cutter. Scallop edges with cookie cutter or knife if desired. Decorate outer and inner edge with sprinkles. Repeat for remaining dough. Bake at 300 degrees for 18-22 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on pan 5 minutes.
