Simply yummy lower fat and lower carb whole grain brownies

Recipe Ingredients for Shila's Simple Whole grain low fat brownies

1 c egg whites
1/2 c applesauce
1 c whole wheat pastry flour
1/3 c rolled oats
1/2 c unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 c brown sugar
1 ripe banana, mashed
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Recipe Directions for Shila's Simple Whole grain low fat brownies

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a 9" square pan with aluminum foil.

  2. Mix the egg whites and applesauce in a bowl. Beat in the flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, banana and vanilla. Pour into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, until brownies just begin to pull from the sides of the pan. Cool and cut into squares.
