Recipe Ingredients for Shepherd's pie with ground turkey

1 lb turkey, ground
1 onion, chopped
1 bell pepper, chopped
10 oz green beans, canned, drained
10 oz can corn, drained
3 carrots, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
3 tbsp brown gravy mix
3 mushrooms, sliced
6 cherry tomatoes, chopped
2 cups instant potato flakes
2 cups water
3/4 cup milk, reduced fat
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
4 tbsp margarine

Recipe Directions for Shepherd's pie with ground turkey

  1. Brown ground turkey with onion, peppers and garlic.

  2. Add all vegetables.

  3. Mix instant gravy mix with 1/2 cup water and add.

  4. Boil water, salt and butter.

  5. Remove from heat.

  6. Add milk and potato flakes.

  7. Stir, cover and let rest to stiffen.

  8. Spray casserole with cooking spray.

  9. Add turkey, vegetable and gravy mixture.

  10. Top with mashed potatoes and worcestershire.

  11. Bake at 350F for 45 minutes.
