Ingrediants Minced lamb 1 onion table spoon of plain flour teaspoon mix herbs to taste black pepper to taste 1 tablespoon tomato puree 1/2 pint vegetable or lamb stock made with stock cube 2 carrots

Recipe Ingredients for Shephards pie

3 oz Onions
1 oz Wheat Flour, White, All-purpose, Enriched, Bleached
1 oz Tomato Puree
1/2 cup slices Carrots
1 Cube Chicken Stock Cubes
8 oz Potatoes, Mashed, Home-prepared, Whole Milk Added
16 oz Potatoes, Mashed, Home-prepared, Whole Milk Added

Recipe Directions for Shephards pie

Dry fry the onions and carrots until soft and put to one side. Then cook the minced meat for 10 minutes until it's changed colour and then drain off all fat. Put onions and carrots back in the pan with the meat, add herbs and pepper, 1 table spoon of tomato puree, 1 table spoon of flour, and mix together. Once this is done slowly add the stock bring to the boil until thickened. In another pan boil and then mash the pototoes once cooked drain and add some milk and mash down until a creamy consistancy. Put the meat in an oven proof dish and cover with the mashed potato. Put into the oven at 200c until the potato topping has turned brown. Approx 30 / 40 minutes
