This is just your typical Sheperds Pie with all of the yummy home cooking ingredients. I use light sour cream and lean beef to keep it on the lighter side. You can add other veggies too if you so desire. It's pretty easy, just makes a bit of a mess if you have to grate the cheese, make the potatoes, ect... But it's yummy!

Recipe Ingredients for Sheperds Pie

1 lb ground beef
2 tbl soy sauce
8 ozs Light Sour Cream
1 med Onion
20 oz Cream of Mushroom Soup
3 c Mashed Potatoes
14 1/2 oz Green Beans
15 1/4 oz Whole Kernel Corn
1/2 c Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Recipe Directions for Sheperds Pie

  1. Brown beef and saute with onion, drain.

  2. Layer beef and onion in 8X8 pan.

  3. Drain corn and green beans, layer on top of beef.

  4. Sprinkle Soy Sauce over the top of those layers.

  5. Mix sour cream and cream of mushroom soup together, layer on top of vegetables.

  6. Layer mashed potatoes on top of cream and soup.

  7. Layer cheese on top of potatoes.

  8. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes.
