Bell peppers stuffed with ground beef and rice with tomato sauce and cream of mushroom soup.

Recipe Ingredients for Shelly's Stuffed Peppers

8 medium Green Bell Peppers
8 serving 90% Lean Ground Beef, Fresh
24 oz Tomato Sauce
2 cup Rice, White, Medium-grain, Cooked
2 cup Cream of Mushroom Soup

Recipe Directions for Shelly's Stuffed Peppers

  1. Cut tops off peppers (8 peppers), remove seeds and steam for 10 minutes.

  2. Boil rice to make 2 cups cooked.

  3. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  4. Pour two large cans of tomato sauce and one large can of cream of mushroom soup into a mixing bowl and stir together. Season with garlic powder and onion powder.

  5. When rice is done, add to 1 1/2 pounds of raw ground beef and mix together evenly.

  6. Add 1/2 cup to 3/4 cup of the tomato sauce mixture to the beef and rice to aid in mixing and add flavor.

  7. Stuff the peppers with the beef and rice mixture, pour some of the sauce over the peppers and bake for 45 minutes.
