Delicious baked ziti with a homemade marinara

Recipe Ingredients for Shayna's Baked Ziti

1 lb ziti, cooked and drained
1 cup mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
8 ounce ricotta cheese
6 ounce tomato paste
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp oregano
2 tbsp canola oil
1/2 cup water
1/8 tsp pepper

Recipe Directions for Shayna's Baked Ziti

  1. Combine tomato paste, salt, sugar, oregano, oil, water and pepper well to make marinara sauce.

  2. Combine sauce with ricotta & parmesan.

  3. Mix into cooked ziti pasta.

  4. Top with mozzarella and bake until cheese is melted, about 10 minutes at 350F.

  5. Top with more marinara sauce if desired (but not included in calories).

  6. Use whole wheat pasta for better health.
