This just falls apart to the touch. juicy and makes it's own gravy. (though if you like it thick you might want to add a little flour it the end juice) I put it on a bed of carrots and celery for seasoning and elevation (I didn't put it in because I don't generally eat the celery and I steam carrots) I love any recipe you can just mix pour cover and walk away!!!

Recipe Ingredients for SGBear's easy pot roast

2 lbs chuck roast
8 servings (1 packet) lipton beefy onion mix
1 1/2 cups beef broth

Recipe Directions for SGBear's easy pot roast

  1. Pre heat oven to 275

  2. Mix lipton onion soup mix and beef broth together

  3. Put aluminum foil down in a casserole dish big enough for roast and long enough to fold alumin foil into a pouch.

  4. *Optional* Place a layer of carrots and celery on the bottom of the pan

  5. place roast on top of bed of veggies or flat in the pan and pour mixture over the roast slowly where the dehydrated onions sit ontop of roast (makes for a beautiful presentation)

  6. fold aluminum foil over roast to make a "packet" and place in oven

  7. Roast in oven for a total of 6 hours (put potatos in the last hour if your adding them to your dish)
