5.33 serving ( 3 oz ) Beef, Ground, 95% Lean Meat / 5% Fat, Crumbles
0.66 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
14 7/10 grams Garlic Cloves
6 medium (4-1/8" long) Onions, Spring Or Scallions
1 cup, chopped Peppers, Sweet, Green
1 medium raw Onion Yellow
2 cup pieces Mushrooms
1 tsp Chili Powder
1 dash Salt, Table
0.062 cup Whole Wheat Flour
0.5 Teaspoon Thyme
0.5 tsp Oregano, Ground
0.5 tsp Cumin
1 cup Tomato Sauce
0.5 cup No Salt Added Fat Free Beef Flavored Broth
2.37 cup Dark Red Kidney Beans

Recipe Directions for SFL Chili

In skillet, heat oil until hot (medium heat). Add garlic and scallions. Cook, stirring frequently until soft. Stir the meat into the skillet, breaking it up with a spoon. Sprinkle meat with chili powder, thyme, oregano, cumin and salt and cook until the meat is no longer pink. Sprinkle the meat evenly with flour, stiring to combine. Add tomatoe sauce, broth, beans and bring to a boil. REduce to a simmer, cover and cook until the flavors are blended and the sauce is slightly thickened, about 7-10 minutes.
