Recipe Ingredients for Sfinges- Italian Fried Dough

1 lb pizza dough
0.24 cup sugar
20 tsp vegetable oil

Recipe Directions for Sfinges- Italian Fried Dough

  1. Roll dough into balls and flatten or roll into long sticks or another small shape.

  2. Heat oil in deep fryer to about 350 degrees.

  3. Test the oil with a piece of dough. It should sizzle and puff up.

  4. Carefully place the dough in the fyer and fry until golden brown. This should only take around 3-4 minutes.

  5. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on a paper towel.

  6. Place the fried dough in a paper bag with sugar and shake until dough is covered.

  7. Best served while still warm.
