Easy, great tasting tuna coated with sesame seeds and quickly seared. This tuna is served rare, so be sure to use a good quality fresh tuna.

Recipe Ingredients for Sesame Seared Tuna Steak

2 lb tuna steak
1/4 c soy sauce
1 T fish sauce
1 T honey
2 T olive oil

Recipe Directions for Sesame Seared Tuna Steak

  1. In a small bowl, stir together the soy sauce, fish sauce, honey and olive oil.

  2. Coat the tuna steaks with the mixture, then optionally press into 1/2 c sesame seeds (spread out on a plate), pressing into the seeds to coat.

  3. Spray skillet with cooking spray and heat until hot. Place steaks in the pan, searing for about 30 seconds (longer for less rare meat) on each side.
