Easy and tangy shrimp are coated in a simple batter, cooked in a little oil and tossed in a tangy sauce

Recipe Ingredients for Sesame-Orange Shrimp

3 T sesame seeds
2 large egg whites
1/4 c. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 pound shrimp
2 T. canola oil
3/4 c. orange juice
1/4 c. white wine
2 T soy sauce
1 tsp sugar

Recipe Directions for Sesame-Orange Shrimp

  1. Whisk sesame seeds, egg whites, corn starch, salt and pepper in a large bowl. Add shrimp and toss to coat.

  2. Heat oil in a large nonstick electric skillet over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook until golden - 1 to 2 minutes per side. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain.

  3. Add orange juice, wine, soy sauce and sugar to the pan. Bring to a boil and cook until slightly thickened and reduced by half - 4 to 6 minutes. Return the shrimp to the pan and stir to coat with the sauce. Serve immediately.
