Vegetarian Pilaf made with Semolina and Navy beans.

Recipe Ingredients for Semolina and Navy Bean pilaf

1 cup semolina
2 cups water
1 tsp cumin seeds
2 tbsp split pea
1 tsp mustard seeds
2 hot pepper
1 tsp ginger
1/2 cup Navy Beans
1 tsp vegetable oil
1/2 tsp butter
1 tsp salt
3 tbsp cilantro
2 tbsp Lemon Juice

Recipe Directions for Semolina and Navy Bean pilaf

  1. Prepare Navy Beans

  2. Heat oil in pan.

  3. Add cumin seeds and mustard seends, After they splatter, add shredded ginger, hot peppers and Navy Beans.

  4. Add a tbsp of water and simmer for about 5 minutes.

  5. Add all the water and bring it to boil.

  6. Add Salt and half of the finely chopped cilatro.

  7. Reduce Heat and Add semolina gently while stirring constantly.

  8. Keep stirring until the whole mixture starts bubbling.

  9. Remove from heat, add Lemon Juice and garnish with cilatro.
