Recipe Ingredients for semiya upuma

4 oz vermicelli
2 oz water
1 tsp oil
1 pepper, green, chopped
1 onion, chopped
1/4 tsp mustard
1 tsp black bean
1 salt to taste

Recipe Directions for semiya upuma

  1. heat oil, add mustard, when mustard splutters, add black bean, saute till golden brown.

  2. add onion, saute till golden brown, then add the vermicelli and saute for 3 minutes.

  3. add salt, water, stir, reduce flame, cover and cook till vermicelli is soft.
