basic seitan recipe from "How to Cook Everything Vegetarian"

Recipe Ingredients for seitan

1.75 cup Vital Wheat Gluten
3 tbsp Soy Sauce
1 tbsp Olive Oil
2 tbsp Season 'n Fry Seasoned Coating for Chicken
4 tablespoons Nutritional Yeast

Recipe Directions for seitan

  1. mix dry ingredients

  2. add wet ingredients

  3. knead dough until smooth

  4. break up into four pieces

  5. simmer in garlicy broth for 1 hour
