Good old fashioned Quebec sheperd's pie

Recipe Ingredients for Seb's Pate Chinois

1050 grams potatoes
19 oz creamed corn
2 tablespoons Becel RSF margarine
1 tablespoon skim milk
3 grams salt
1 onion
120 grams mozarella, partly skimmed
500 grams Ground beef raw

Recipe Directions for Seb's Pate Chinois

  1. Dice the onion

  2. Cook the ground beef with the onion in a large pan

  3. Peel the potatoes and then cut them into quarters

  4. Cook the potatoes in a pot of water for about 30 minutes, reduce heat if water is leaking from the pot

  5. Puree the potatoes, add the milk, the margarine and the salt, whisk with an electric beater until they are smooth

  6. In an oven-ready dish, put the beef

  7. Add the can of creamed corn on top of the beef

  8. Add the potatoes on top of the creamed corn

  9. Grate the cheese on top of the potatoes

  10. Put in a 400 degrees oven until cheese is brown
