Recipe Ingredients for Seaweed Salad

1 ounce dried Wakame seaweed
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon Ginger Root
1 scallion, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon rice vinegar (not seasoned)
1 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
1 teaspoon sesame seeds, toasted

Recipe Directions for Seaweed Salad

  1. In a bowl, pour warm water over seaweed and soak for 30 minutes, or until soft. Do not use boiling hot water as it will leak out too much flavor.

  2. Drain the seaweed well.

  3. Mix all other ingredients (except sesame seeds) and toss with the seaweed and cucumber.

  4. Chill for 30 minutes.

  5. Top with sesame seeds and serve.
