The seasoning for this recipe can be adjusted to your liking it really is just a base line so be creative. I use these seasoned beans as a replacement for the usual mayo I put on my wraps and burgers. I take 1/2 cup of the seasoned beans and mash them into a paste and spread them onto my wrap or burger bun. ENJOY!!

Recipe Ingredients for Seasoned Black Beans

228 grams Beans, Black, Mature Seeds
0.5 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions
1 tbsp Cumin Seed
0.5 tsp Chile Powder
1 tsp Onion Powder
1 tsp Garlic Powder
3 tbsp Salt, Table
1 serving Chicken Bouillon Bouillon Cubes
2 tbsp Olive Oil

Recipe Directions for Seasoned Black Beans

  1. Soak 1/2 lb of black beans over night (follow instructions on package)

  2. Brown 1/2 of the chopped medium onion in 3 tbs. of olive oil

  3. Once onion is browned add beans and 1 cup water bring to a simmer

  4. Add all of the dry seasonings and water if the beans appear to be sticking to the bottom of the pan

  5. Bring to a boil, turn off heat let cool to room temperature and adjust the seasoning to you liking
