Lemony sea scallops seasoned in a flour and herb mixture, seared in olive oil and tossed in parsley and lemon

Recipe Ingredients for Seared sea scallops

1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon seasoning salt
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1 tablespoon lemon juice
100 grams scallops
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons fresh parsley
2 teaspoons lemon juice

Recipe Directions for Seared sea scallops

  1. In a bowl, combine flour, salt, oregano and thyme. Roll the scallops in the mixture until lightly coated on all sides.

  2. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice in a skillet over high heat. Add scallops and sear on all sides. Toss with remaining lemon juice and parsley.

  3. As an optional sauce, deglaze the pan with 2 tablespoons of white wine and a tablespoon of butter. Reduce and serve hot over scallops. Not included in calorie content of this recipe.
