A great dish for special occasions

Recipe Ingredients for seafood lasagna

1/3 cup flour
1/2 cup butter
1 cup 1% milk
2 cups skim milk
1 pound lasagna noodles
1/2 cup onions, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
8 ounce light cream cheese
3/4 cup fat free ricotta
3/4 cup part skim ricotta
1/2 cup egg beaters
2 tsp basil
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
18 ounce shrimp
12 ounce crabmeat
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
1/2 cup mozzarella, shredded

Recipe Directions for seafood lasagna

Soak lasagna noodles in warm water. Saute onions and garlic in small amount of olive oil. Add cream cheese, ricottas, egg beaters, basil, salt and pepper. In the meantime, melt butter in a pot. Add flour and stir till thickened. Add the two kinds of milk, slowly, stirring over heat until thickened. Add shrimp (rinsed) and crabmeat. Spread about 1 cup of seafood mixture in bottom of 13x9 pan. Add layer of noodles, and follow with cream cheese mixture, more sauce, and small amount of mozzarella cheese. Continue unti finished, ending with noodles and rest of sauce. Top with parmesan cheese. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes, uncovered. Let stand for about 10 minutes - then call family to the table and move out of the way! Great with garlic bread and salad.
