Recipe Ingredients for seafood corn chowder

3 tbsp Real Bacon Bits
3 tbsp Butter
0.5 cup, chopped Onions
1 stalk, medium (7-1/2" - 8" long) Celery
0.33 cup Wheat Flour, White, All-purpose, Enriched, Unbleached
4 cup Milk, Lowfat, Fluid, 1% Milkfat
2 potato medium (2-1/4" to 3-1/4" dia) Potatoes, Red, Flesh And Skin
2 tsp Salt, Table
0.25 dash Pepper, Black
2.5 serving Penzey's Spices Seafood Base
1 can (12 oz) yields Corn, Sweet, Yellow
6 oz Lobster Fresh Seafood
4 oz Large Shrimp, raw

Recipe Directions for seafood corn chowder

  1. Cook lobster and shrimp. cut into bite-size chunks. Dice potatoes and cook in a little water. Chop onion and celery.

  2. Melt butter in a large pot or dutch oven. Saute onion and garlic until soft and fragrant. Remove vegetables from pan and set aside, leaving as much of the butter in the pan as possible.

  3. Add flour to pan over medium heat and stir together. Add milk, a little at a time at first, as you stir it smoothly into the flour. Cook until beginning to thicken.

  4. Add potatoes plus their cooking water, bacon bits, undrained canned corn, seasonings, seafood base, lobster and shrimp.

  5. Cook until heated through and serve with crusty bread.
