You can add any fish or shell fish

Recipe Ingredients for Seafood chowder

8 cups fish stock
100 g salt pork
3 tbs. flour
5 potatoes, cubed
2 onions, diced
200 g halibut
200 g shrimp
200 g mussels
200 g squid
200 g scallops
100 g lobster
10 g parsley
2 tbs. olive oil
2 cloves garlic

Recipe Directions for Seafood chowder

  1. Cook salt pork over medium low heat until browned. Remove and mince browned pork to make crunchins.

  2. Add onion to pork fat and cook until lightly browned( 8 minutes).

  3. Coat onions with flour and stir in fish stock. Add potatoes and simmer 20 minutes.

  4. Heat olive oil and garlic in skillet and fast fry shell fish and squid. Set aside.

  5. When potatoes are ready add fish and cook for 5 minutes. Add cooked shellfish and heat until warmed.

  6. Sprinkle served chowder with parsley and crunchins.
