Recipe Ingredients for Scottich Oat Scones

1 1/2 cup Wheat Flour, White, All-purpose, Enriched, Unbleached
1 1/4 cup dry Old Fashioned Quaker Oats
1/4 cup Sugars, Granulated
1 tbsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Leavening Agents, Cream Of Tartar
1/2 cup Butter
1/2 cup Soymilk Unsweetened
1 large Egg, Whole
1/2 cup diced dried apricots

Recipe Directions for Scottich Oat Scones

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degree. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Combine flour, oats, baking powder, cream of tartar, and sugar in large bowl. Mix together egg, soy milk, and butter in another bowl. Add to dry ingredients, and mix until just moist. Stir in dried fruit.Shape dough into ball.

  3. Place ball onto prepared baking sheet, and pat into circle about 3/4 inch thick. Use a knife to cut into 8 wedges, separating slightly.

  4. Bake about 12 minutes, until lightly brown. Cool slightly on rack.
