Cut into 2 x 1" squares. A serving is 2 bars.

Recipe Ingredients for Scotcheroos

1 cup corn syrup
1 cup sugar
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup chocolate chips
240 grams butterscotch chips
168 grams rice krispies
1 tbsp butter

Recipe Directions for Scotcheroos

  1. In a large/deep saucepan, boil the sugar and corn syrup together until the sugar dissolves. (I use just a touch more corn syrup, like 1 or 2 tbsp., and don't cook too long or the roos will get hard).

  2. Stir in peanut butter.

  3. Stir in rice krispies.

  4. Pour into a buttered 9" x 13" pan.

  5. Melt chocolate and butterscotch chips and spread over krispies mixture.

  6. Cool completely.

  7. Cover tightly with foil so they don't get hard.
