Recipe Ingredients for Scones

3 cups flour
6 tbsp butter
2/3 cup sugar
1 tbsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
2 large eggs
1 cup buttermilk

Recipe Directions for Scones

  1. cut butter into flour

  2. add sugar(superfine if you have it), baking pwd and salt

  3. beat eggs and buttermilk together and add to flour mixture

  4. combine with as few stirs as possible

  5. dump on floured surface and knead a few times

  6. pat or roll to about 1in thick

  7. cut into approx 2in biscuits and bake on grease cookie sheet at 400 for 15-20 minutes

  8. taste great, don't keep well so eat 'em up.
