This is a very old recipe that my grandmother used to make and I'm sure she got it from her grandmother before that. Absolutely delicious!

Recipe Ingredients for Scones

1 stick butter
1 cup milk
1/2 cup sugar
3 cups flour
3 tsp baking powder
1 cup raisins

Recipe Directions for Scones

  1. Melt butter; combine with milk; add sugar and mix.

  2. Add flour and baking powder, mix.

  3. Add raisins.

  4. Knead out dough to about 1" thick.

  5. Sprinkle top with cinnamon and sugar.

  6. Cut bisquits with small juice glass.

  7. Place on greased cookie sheet.

  8. Yield 12-15 scones, depending on size of juice glass :)

  9. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.
