These yummy scones have no refined sugar. They use whole wheat flour for extra nutrition, and we love them.

Recipe Ingredients for Scones

2 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1/4 cups maple syrup
1/2 cups butter
2 large eggs
1/2 cups whole milk

Recipe Directions for Scones

Mix flour and baking powder. Cut in butter. Mix milk, syrup, and eggs together well. Add a drop of vanilla, if you like. Add to dry ingredients and mix just until blended. Turn out to kneed lightly and shape into a 12 inch log. Cut the log into 1 inch slices and and put on cookie sheet. Bake at 425 for 15 minutes.
