Recipe Ingredients for Schweinebraten

4 ounces paprika
1 ounce salt
1 ounce black pepper
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp garlic powder
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
1 teaspoon dried sage
1 teaspoon rosemary
1 teaspoon thyme
1 large onion, sliced
560 grams pork sirloin chops
1/4 cup olive oil

Recipe Directions for Schweinebraten

  1. Mix all spices and onion in ziploc bag.

  2. Oil meat well and put remainder of oil in bag.

  3. Add meat to bag, zip up and mix well.

  4. Squeeze out air, reseal and marinate in refrigerator 3-5 days. Knead bag each day to mix spices up a little.

  5. After marinating is done - remove meat, discard rest.

  6. Grill (approximately 10 minutes).

  7. Serve on hard buttered rolls.

  8. Note if using smoked paprika - omit pepper.
