Recipe Ingredients for Scallops in Leek-Thyme Sauce

6 ounces bacon, smoked
1 medium leek
1/3 cup dry white wine
1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
1 1/2 cups half and half
1 dash salt
1 dash ground white pepper
1 pound sea scallops

Recipe Directions for Scallops in Leek-Thyme Sauce

  1. cook bacon, crumble, save drippings

  2. Heat 1 tbsp drippings in saucepan

  3. Add leeks & saute 2 min

  4. Add wine, simmer until evaporate, 3 min

  5. Season with salt & pepper

  6. keep warm

  7. Sear scallops in non stick skillet, 2 min per side
