Creamy, buttery, scalloped potatos with a touch of onion. May be cooked in crock pot or oven.

Recipe Ingredients for Scalloped Potatos

3 pounds potatos, peeled and sliced
3 tbsp onion, diced
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1/2 cup flour
1 tbsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
5 cups 2% milk

Recipe Directions for Scalloped Potatos

  1. Peel and thinly slice potatos

  2. melt butter in a sauce pan and saute onion

  3. add flour, salt, and pepper stirring until smooth

  4. gradually add milk, stirring and cooking until thickened and smooth

  5. remove from heat

  6. place small amount of sauce in 6 qt crock pot and cover with potatos

  7. repeat layers using all potatos and sauce - topping with sauce

  8. cook on HIGH, covered, for 2 hours, then prop open lid slightly and cook for 2 more hours.
