Great favorite of my kids. From Betty Crocker.

Recipe Ingredients for Scalloped potatoes (w/ cheese)

2 lbs. potatoes, sliced (5 med. w/ peel on)
1/4 c. onion, minced
4 tbsp. butter
4 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 c. cheddar cheese, shredded
2 1/2 c. milk, 2%
1/8 tsp. pepper

Recipe Directions for Scalloped potatoes (w/ cheese)

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Slice potatoes and rinse.

  3. Cook onions in butter until tender, not brown. Whip in flour, salt and pepper, then add all of the milk. Cook until bubbly for about 2 minutes. Add the cheese and stir until melted.

  4. Place half of the potato slices in a greased 2 quart casserole dish. Pour half of the cheese sauce over. Repeat with the remainder of the slices and the sauce.

  5. Bake, covered, for 50 minutes, stirring once. Uncover and bake 35 minutes more.

  6. Enjoy!
