Recipe Ingredients for Savoury Mince

1 lb Minced Beef
2 Onions
8 oz Carrots
1/2 pint Water
1 tbsp Marmite
1 tbsp Tomato Puree
1 tbsp Vegetable Oil
1 tbsp Cornflour

Recipe Directions for Savoury Mince

  1. Peel and dice the onions

  2. Peel and dice the carrots

  3. Sweat the onions and carrots in the vegetable oil

  4. Brown the mince in a frying pan and pour off any excess fat and water.

  5. Add the mince to the vegetables

  6. Add the water, tomato puree and marmite (to taste).

  7. Simmer for around 40 minutes to really tenderise the mince.

  8. Adjust the seasoning and thicken if desired with the cornflour
