Recipe Ingredients for Savory or Sweet Corncakes

14.75 oz Sweet Corn Cream Style
1 cup Cornmeal, Degermed, Enriched, Yellow
0.5 cup (8 fl oz) Water
2 1tsp Olive Oil
1 large Egg, Whole
0.5 cup All Purpose Flour
0.5 tsp Salt, Table
11 grams Baking Powder

Recipe Directions for Savory or Sweet Corncakes

  1. Heat Cream Corn over medium heat

  2. Stir 1/2 cup corn meal into cream corn

  3. Whisk in water, then oil, and then egg

  4. Mix 1/2 cup corn meal, AP Flour, salt and Baking Powder in separate bowl

  5. Stir in dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just mixed

  6. Heat griddle over medium heat and brush with oil

  7. Drop batter in 1/4 cup portions

  8. Cook turning once until golden brown on each side
