Recipe Ingredients for Savory Sandwiches

15 ounce garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed
1/4 cup chopped sweet onion
1/4 cup chopped green onions
1/2 cup chopped celery
2 tbs. sweet pickle relish
1 tbs. lemon juice
1/4 cup fat-free mayonnaise

Recipe Directions for Savory Sandwiches

  1. Mash beans with a hand masher. Place in a bowl and add celery, onions, relish (can use dill relish), lemon juice, and fat-free mayonnaise. Mis well. Chill to blend flavors. Make the spread early to allow it to chill.

  2. Place about 1/2 cup of the spread on bread slices. Add lettuce and tomatoes, close up the sandwich, and eat.

  3. Use Orowheat Sandwich Thins, only 100 calories and 1 W.W.
